There’s one additional option here which we didn’t notice while assigning the macro for the mouse, and that’s Repeat Options. Now, you need to press a series of keys as per your requirement depending on the game you’re playing and once you’re done, click on Stop Recording. Here, you can also choose to record delays between events before you actually start the recording process. Once the next menu pops up, head over to the “Multikey Macro” section and click on “Start Recording”.Now, right click on any one of the 12 function keys located at the top of your keyboard and click on “Assign New Command”.Choose your keyboard from the devices section in the Logitech Gaming Software and click on the G key icon as shown in the screenshot below. So, simply follow the steps below to assign a macro for your Logitech gaming keyboard within seconds: The procedure is identical to the one which we just discussed for the Logitech mouse, except for some minor changes. As long as you have a compatible Logitech G gaming keyboard, you’ll be able to do the same as well. Note: I created a multi-key macro on the Logitech G213 Prodigy RGB keyboard using this software and it worked flawlessly every time. In order to finally assign the macro, simply click on “OK”.Ĭreate A Macro For Logitech Gaming Keyboard Once the recording has been initiated, you need to press a series of keys as per your requirement based on the game you’re playing and then click on Stop Recording. Before recording, you can also choose to record delays between events. In the next pop-up menu, head over to the “Multikey Macro” section and click on “Start Recording”.Just map your mouse buttons and bind action bar buttons like you normally would with any keystroke. Unless you bought one dirt cheap, but then a dirt cheap mouse is unlikely to have >5 buttons. Any major mouse manufacturer, especially for "gaming" type mice, likely has software that lets you map mouse buttons to keys. Just bind the other mouse buttons to some obscure keybind like ctrl alt shift F12 as you said - you'll never use that bind as it's just not convenient to do so ever really. It's not really an issue tbh, as you'd never use every possible keybind on your keyboard (as it would be a massive # of possibilities). Feels a bit redundant.Windows only supports like 5 mouse buttons or something, so past that you have to bind those mouse buttons to a keybind (through logitech's SetPoint for example) for it to be recognized. I have all these buttons but I'm too lazy to configure each and every one to act for a different button. To basically get around this, is there some kind of program or addon that allows me to bind an action button to M1 without doing some kind of configuration to make M1 bind to something else? Like how nearly every key can be used for a keybind by default except for these extra macro buttons. Then make the M1 Button act for that specific keybind.īut you can't simply make M1 act for a "/cast Random Spell"įor what evn said, why don't the game macros work the same way as a keyboard macros? ![]() What I don't understand is that you can make a macroīind it to something like what was mentioned above like Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F12. I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but this probably isn't the right way to do it. So when the macro finally finishes you end up with something like "/sawy H ello mom, how are you" which doesn't work at all. That keystroke is inserted into the stream too. While that's going on, you're holding down the "W" key to move forward or you press the space-bar to jump. The game recieves the keystrokes from the G15 software: You press the G1 button to playback that macro while you're in warcraft while you're running/jumping. Suppose you have a G15 (or whatever) macro that is "/say Hello mom, how are you" I suppose that could work, but that approach would actually be on the "wrong side" of the TOS: it's causing one key press to tun into multiple actions (typing in a macro).įurther, it would be "horrible", fragile, and way more involved than it needs to be.
